Evidence and source limits

The retrieved oral estradiol tablet label lists moderate-to-severe menopausal vasomotor and vulvovaginal symptoms, specified hypoestrogenism uses and other narrow indications. It notes topical vaginal products should be considered when treatment is solely for vaginal symptoms.

Estrogen products differ by route and indication. Cancer and thromboembolic contraindications and endometrial risks need product-specific review. The February 2026 labeling changes for selected products do not establish that every estradiol label is identical.

Approval applies to the specific labeled product, route and indication, not every preparation of this ingredient or a wellness mixture. Read the original full label and discuss individual circumstances with a medical professional. No dosing or preparation instructions are included.
