Evidence and source limits

The July 2025 Increlex label identifies mecasermin for growth failure in patients age 2 years and older with severe primary IGF-1 deficiency, or with growth-hormone gene deletion and neutralizing antibodies to growth hormone.

This is not a general muscle-building, athletic recovery or healthy-aging indication. It must not be transferred to IGF-1 LR3 or a custom research preparation.

The label includes risks such as hypoglycemia, intracranial hypertension, hypersensitivity and malignant neoplasia. Read the full product label and discuss individual circumstances with a licensed clinician. No doses or treatment protocol are supplied.
