Not every related compound is a peptide.

NAD+ is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a related compound rather than a peptide. FDA identifies compounders using food-grade NAD+ ingredients for intravenous products and warns that food-grade materials are not suitable for sterile compounding without appropriate processing.

FDA has received reports after NAD+ injectable drugs that include severe chills, shaking, vomiting and fatigue, with some requiring medical treatment. The agency says these reactions are consistent with excessive endotoxin levels. Reports do not establish the frequency of events across every product.

The FDA notice concerns ingredient suitability and patient safety. It does not establish an anti-aging, energy or longevity benefit from NAD+ injections. No dosing or seller links are provided.
