Evidence and source limits

The October 2024 teriparatide injection label describes PTH 1-34 and specified high-fracture-risk osteoporosis populations, including postmenopausal women, men with primary or hypogonadal osteoporosis, and glucocorticoid-associated osteoporosis.

Warnings include osteosarcoma risk in susceptible groups, hypercalcemia, urolithiasis, orthostatic hypotension and digoxin toxicity. This is not a bone-health recommendation for a general population.

Approval applies to the specific labeled product, route and indication, not every preparation of this ingredient or a wellness mixture. Read the original full label and discuss individual circumstances with a medical professional. No dosing or preparation instructions are included.
